Adding Preset Collections to Your Maschine User Library
This is something we have covered in the past, but a community member recently published this helpful video and we wanted to share it. It shows how to add sounds to your Maschine user library.
Some people find it confusing that there are two separate places where sounds are browsed in the latest version of Maschine. The NI library tab showcases all of the official presets and expansion packs that are available through Native Instruments for Maschine and their various synths, effects, plugins, etc. The Maschien user library is where you will find all of your own sounds that you have added, as well as any 3rd party sounds you may have imported.
Remember that when you add a new location to your Maschine directory that you will need to update the database before you will see the newly added sound in the Maschine user library. Or you can restart the software to achieve the same results. Although there are slight differences in how you manage, search and navigate your sounds in the latest version of Maschine, the overall functionality of the features touched on in this video are still the same. It’s just a matter of acclimating to the new software.
