How to Play Chords in Maschine
In this video, I show two methods for creating simple chords in Maschine – one using templates and another using MIDI routing. Both have their uses, but the second method is generally more powerful and better in my opinion.
You can make some really nice chords in Maschine very easily, without having to spend a ton of time clicking around to make it happen. One method involves setting up a template in the Native Instruments Controller Editor. You can load these templates up at the beginning of your sessions and have everything dialed in right from the start! The second method is to set up your chords in Maschine though some clever MIDI routing.
This lesson covers both techniques quite well and in a way that makes it very accessible to both new and experienced users alike. You do not need a lot of skill or know-how to accomplish this on your own and it can save you a ton of time and effort in the long-run. So why is it so important to do it in one of these ways instead of setting up your pads in a custom arrangement for playing chords in Maschine? Easy. It will help to keep you focused on producing music, not programming pads. Work smarter, not harder!
