Sound Design With Modulation and Scripting

Sound Design with field recordings and samples can sound uninteresting at first. But if use LFOs and Midi Automation to modulate the Sample Editor parameters, you start to get some amazing sounds. Today’s video tutorial will show you how you can do Sound Design With Modulation and Scripting.

When doing sound design it’s helpful to loop your sample and modulate the sample parameters so that you can move around the sample to find interesting sounds. To do this you want to modulate Loop Start and Loop Length. It’s also helpful to modulate Sample Start.

These parameters can be modulated by any modulator, but its easiest with an LFO and manual control from your MIDI Controller.

And when you add a script such as MIDI Latch, it frees up an extra hand so that you can manipulate Loop Start, Loop Length and Sample Start.
