NI Kontakt Instrument Send Delay In Performance View
With Kontakt Scripting, Instruments can have custom control panels called Performance Views. This allows you to control Instrument settings without switching into edit mode and allows you to create a custom user interface. In this video tutorial, I will show you how to create a Performance View that lets you control a Delay in an Instrument Send Effect slot.
Instrument Send Delay In Performance View
We’ll start of by creating a new instrument. Next we’ll enter edit mode, display the scripting editor and get to scripting. This kicks off the process of building your own performance view to manage send delays and other similar effects. This is a great way to streamline your workflows and stay focused on the tasks at hand in stead of tweaking multiple parameters on the back end of Kontakt.
You can create a performance view in Kontakt for a wide variety of things and it can make your life a whole lot easier. It’s also a great way to work collaboratively, if you happen to do a lot of work in Kontakt but your co-workers are less familiar or comfortable with the programming of such things. It really helps to keep things simple!
