Automation and Modulation - Features of Kontakt - part 15
Whenever you need to control a parameter of an Instrument from outside KONTAKT using your DAW’s automation or your MIDI controller, you can easily pick and assign the appropriate automation source from the Auto tab of the Browser. And Kontakt’s internal modulation system offers a powerful way to “animate” parameters, making them change over time in different and extremely adjustable ways. In this final part in the ‘Features of Kontakt’ series, we’ll finish up by taking a look at Automation and Modulation.
At the top of the Auto tab, there are two lists of automation sources that are provided by your host and MIDI controllers. To assign a source, simply select a source from the list and drag it onto a knob whose parameter you want to automate. And if you want to animate parameters, the Modulation Router allows you to assign various sources of modulation signals to that module parameters.
