Komplete Kontrol mk2 - Scale & Chord explained

In this video we explain the three different scale modes:

Easy mode – This maps the notes of the scale from C to C using only the white notes, irregardless of the scale you are in.

Guide mode – This maps the scale as expected. if you play a wrong note the note will be heard as normal

Mapped mode – This maps the scale as expected, however if you play a wrong note the komplete Kontrol will push that note into the scale that is set. This is extremely useful for live performances or producers who lack musical knowledge.

Next we cover the use of chord mode and how we can use the ‘chromatic’ scale to reveal more chords in the chord harmoniser mode.

We then cover more advanced functions such as inversions, chord sets and position.

We then record a pad sound and automate it in the arrangement view to see how the track progresses onto the next part of the arrangement.
