The Soundlazer Snap, however, uses a parametric speaker system that uses ultrasonic carrier waves to transmit audio in a focused beam of sound, kind of like a laser light would. This allows the sound to be easily directed to an object or person.
This means you can listen to music without disturbing others around you, or transmit an advertising message just in front of a poster, for example, significantly reducing noise pollution in an environment.
