Discover The Pattern Editor In FM8's Arpeggiator - Learn the Secrets of the FM8 Arpeggiator Part 3
In part three of this month’s series learn how to use the pattern editor in the FM8 arpeggiator to create more unique sequences.
This month’s featured FM8 series has been an in depth crash course delving into the FM8 arpeggiator. This week’s installment covers everything you need to know about the pattern editor, which lets face it, is the most important part of any arpeggiator.
The FM8 arpeggiator pattern section has the following sections: Tie, Accent, Note Order, Octave and Transpose. The Tie feature allows you to tie notes in the sequence together and creates a portamento or glide effect. The Accent tab allows you to key in which notes in the sequence you want to have a point of emphasis. The Note Order is pretty self explanatory. Octave and Transpose give you the options of changing how many octaves and notes your sequence spans.
The FM8 arpeggiator is an extremely deep arp and you can really create some truly unique sequences in it. Check out the video above to see the FM8 arpeggiator in action!
