Make a Really Lush Deep House Chord in FM8

Today we are excited to bring you yet another great tutorial that comes straight from the member tutorials. Jonny walks you from start to finish showing you how to create a lush deep house chord sound.  It’s perfect for house, deep house, dubstep and even hip hop. It’s just a really usable sound that is pretty easy to make.

One of the reasons Jonny is able to get such a great sound is by using one LFO to modulate one of the operators that does not have a key sync assigned to it. This allows the top end of the sound to have a vibrato type effect and helps brighten up the overall timbre. It’s also important to remember that he detunes some of the operators to give the sound a slight unison type effect which is perfect for a lush deep house chord sound.
