How to Use the FM8 FX Plugin with Audio Tracks
This is probably the most basic video tutorial we have ever featured on this site. The reason is because there is really only one thing that usually trips people up when they try to use the FM8 FX plugin. And once you see how it’s set up and what you can do to your sounds, your imagination will take care of the rest. It’s a cool option to have when processing your sounds in your DAW, and you can also do this with Absynth, Reaktor, Guitar Rig and a few other Native Instruments products. So if you happen to be an owner of Komplete or Komplete Ultimate you can take advantage of this same idea with the various FX plugins that are included!
All you need to do to get the FM8 FX plugin set up to process audio is load it as an Insert Effect in your DAW on any track. Once loaded, you simply need to click on the Expert window and turn on the IN module and route it to the main output strip. This is shown in the video. You can also load a preset via the Browser window under the Effects tab. Either way gets your audio signal into FM8 and then you are set to begin processing your audio signal in any way you like!
