Heavy Electro with FM8 - Part 3 - Pitch Modulated Stabs
We welcome you to this weeks original video tutorial. In part 3 of our series on Heavy Electro, Jonny showcases two types of pitch modulated stabs!
Welcome back to part 3 of our series on Heavy Electro music. This weeks video tutorial has Jonny showing us how to make two types of Pitch Modulated Stabs. These are great sounds that can be added to almost any sort of techno or heavy electro song.
In part 3, the Pitch Modulated Stabs are created by routing the enabled operators straight to the output of the synth. This patch relies heavily on the sound coming straight from the operators. This allows for a clear-cutting stab.
Inside FM8, Jonny adds quite a few effects to both Pitch Modulated Stabs. He prefers to bounce the audio out from the synth, in order to do some post-FM8 processing using FX in Logic.
We hope that you enjoyed this tutorial. Like always, if you have any questions, feedback, comments, concerns, or suggestions, we would love to hear from you. We are constantly looking for new ideas to continue providing the community with great sound design tutorials.
