Learn How To Design an FM8 Techno Arp Sequence
In this tutorial, learn how to create an FM8 Techno Arp sequence and how to apply some interesting third party processing effects!
The bulk of the Operators being used in this FM8 Techno Arp are Sawtooth waveforms. These are all active in Operators D, E and F. All of those Operators are being routed to the Filter output.
In the Master Section, make sure you set the voicing to Monophonic and and make sure the voice count is set to 2.
In the Arp tab, turn the steps up to 16 and don’t forget to Key Sync it!
One cool trick you can use to make the FM8 Techno Arp sequence more interesting is to create a stabby envelope for the Filter. You can then turn up the Velocity knob to around 90 and use that in conjunction with the Arp’s accent boxes to create a more musical sequence. The boxes you tick on will apply the velocity amount that was set up in the envelope for the filter.
