Drum n Bass - Bass & Synths Part 2 - Lead Synth
Welcome to this weeks members only video tutorial. This is the second installment of a series of videos dedicated to creating Drum n Bass sounds using FM8! In it, we look at creating a stuttering lead synth sound!
Welcome to part 2 of this month’s original tutorial series on Drum N Bass music. In this video tutorial, Jonny continues work on his Drum N Bass track. This time showing us how to create the stuttering lead synth that is demonstrated in the mix.
The lead synth’s envelope shape plays a major role in this sound. Adding multiple points of attack helps to create a rhythmic stuttering effect, and the movement it presents adds a dynamic layer of depth to the track. After creating a killer foundation, Jonny caps the sound off by adding a nice bit of EQ and reverb.
