Classic Garage Sine Bass Design With FM8
In this tutorial, learn how to design a classic sounding Garage sine bass in FM8. This sound will work with Deep House productions too!
This classic sounding Garage sine bass in FM8 is a great patch that will add a lot of low end beef to your mix!
As the title suggests, this sine bass in FM8 uses only sine waves in the Operator section. The cool thing is, it’s only two operators!
In the filter section, it’s important to bring the resonance up to around almost half way. This will help get that digital sound that Garage is known for. You can of course play around with the filter settings to shape the sound and make it more your own!
In the Envelope Tab, you might have to increase the release time to get rid of a clipping sound after you play a note. To make the bass more “Garage” sounding, increase the attack time of Operator F a little bit.
In the FX section, adding some drive will help push the sound and add some rich harmonic content.
