This video tutorial provides an overview of FM8’s Diverse Arpeggiator, and explores some of the features that make this version unique to the FM8 synth!
This video provides an overview of using FM8’s built in Arpeggiator. The Arpeggiator is great tool for creating both leads and baselines, and can be heard on countless tracks. FM8’s Arpeggiator, much like any other software or hardware arpeggiator, allows you to play the notes of a chord without the need of inputting each note. This can be extremely useful when wanting to come up with a quick bass line, or a fitting melody.
There is some debate on the exact definition, but the basic idea of arpeggiation is to play the notes of a chord in succession. What’s great about Arpeggiation is that it can be found in every musical style. Whether it be Renaissance era or Postmodernism music, the use of Arpeggiation is and has always been fundamental.
