Access Virus Ti - Sample and Hold Part 2
In this tutorial i show how to make this sound, which has a “glitchy” Acid Style feel to it.
I used the Arpeggiator underneath the patch to set a quick groove. I chose the WhizzFizz wavetable and Wave 45 as they have quite Metallic high end qualities which work well with the FM modulation.
The Hypersaw for oscillator 1 and the sub oscillator give the sound some body. It is LFO 1 set to Sample and Hold which really makes the sound.
It is set to modulate filter 2, Chorus Delay and FM amount, it is these three that give it the “Acidy” feel. Both the envelopes for the Amp and filter are short and plucky to help the lfo bounce the samples around.
The distortion can be turned up or down to make the sound dirtier.
All in all it is quite a versatile patch, you can use the mod wheel and softknob 1 to modulate the patch while the lfo and Arpeggiator keep the sound rolling
