Creating Sound Effects in Absynth
In this Short tutorial i walk you through some basic timing and length tricks, especially how to control the Master Time parameter as its something i am asked about constantly.
Sound Effects in Absynth, and in this case looking at Basic Timing & Length Parameters (mainly in the Amplitude envelope and the MultiComb effect) can be extremely complex so I have decided to start off nice and easily then ramp it up in future videos.

I use 1 oscillator using the FM setting. Using this we get a rich harmonic sound with lots of overtones and we also transpose it somewhat.
However the actual sound in this tutorial is irrelevant, its simply about showing you how to make a sound long (almost to infinity) and how to adjust the time settings for additional interest over time.
Sound Effects in Absynth shows you the fundamental basics required to create this type of sound effect. Its easy but often overlooked, and by that i mean automating these parameters to make things easy but giving you 100% control over the modulation (in this case timing) which is, in my opinion extremely important for interesting sounds.
I show you how to start experimenting by adding things like pitch envelopes and even an LFO to mess around with the Sound Effects in Absynth patch.
So please enjoy the video and try experimenting on what i have shown here and be ready for taking this and everything else available in Absynth to a different level of interest and complexity over the following weeks.
