Sound design using Karplus-Strong Synthesis

In this tutorial we look at using Karplus-Strong inspired synthesis techniques for sound design.

Often used in physical modelling synthesisers such as Ableton’s Tension and Collision instrument devices Karplus-Strong synthesis uses a mathematical model to simulate the properties of acoustic instruments.

Here we take inspiration from these techniques and use it to create some unique textures not possible through other synthesis methods. A simple approach with a big impact!
