Ableton Operator Hidden Feature - Export AMS : Create Waveforms For Your Sampler

In this video we will be looking at a seldom talked about feature of Ableton’s Operator, Export AMS (Ableton Meta Sound files).

AMS files are waveforms that can be created with Operators Waveform editor or with text editor which can then be loaded into Sampler or Simpler as wavetables. Working in this way allows you to take sounds generated by Operators oscillator and transform and process them in ways not possible within Operator. Either used individually in your Sampler and used as layers it allows the creation of complex sounds with precise control over
them.
